Humble Beginnings
The Old Pfeffer Farm
The original farmhouse, commissioned by L.L. Pfeffer in 1920 still stands proud despite multiple tornadoes, and fires in it's past. The farm changed hands numerous times over it's 100+ year history. Also known as "Dr. Needles' Place, The Dietz Farm, the Jennings Family Home, and now The Tarsha Homestead. The original farmland surrounding the homestead was sold many years ago to Renner Stock Farms of Belleville.
Our Farm Store
A great find! Local honey and other goods and great gifts. Owners were engaging and shared great stories of their adventures in homesteading
Good local honey, cool hand-sewn items and friendly people!
We had a very nice visit at Tarsha Homestead. A big thank you to Alex and Emily for their hospitality. I enjoyed getting to meet the goats, chicken, pigs and puppy. Also, Tarsha Homestead has a very cute store in which we purchased many handmade items, farm fresh eggs, fabric, honey and more. I highly recommend Tarsha Homestead and we will definitely be back.
